Safari Zones at Rajaji National Park

There are seven different Zones for Jungle safari in Rajaji National Park Where you can observe & Sight Wild Animals & Birds. five gates are located at a distance of 10 to 15 kilometers from Haridwar and two gates are located near Dehradun. 25 to 30 kilometers from Dehradun Uttarakhand.

Chilla Safari Zone/ Gate

Chilla Safari Zone is the most popular Safari Zone in Rajaji National Park, In which tourists take a safari of about 36 kilometres. The Wildlife in the Chilla Range is also great due to the variety of habitats. Tourists can spot Tigers, Leopards as well as Elephants, Spotted Deer, Sambhar Deer, Barking Deer, Wild Boar. Chilla is very good for Birds, here 3 species of Hornbill, 9 species of Woodpecker, 5 species of Barbet, 4 species of Kingfisher and more than 150 different types of bird species can be easily seen if accompanied by an expert guide So along with birds, you can also see King Cobra Python and Monitor Lizard here.

Ranipur Safari Zone/ Ranipur Range

Ranipur Safari zone is the Most Popular Safari zone for Leopard Sighting. The safari of Ranipur Range is about 30 km, in which tourists have a chance to see Deer, Sambhar, Nilgai, Barking Deer as well as Leopards and Elephant. The forest of Ranipur Range is surrounded by small hills and small grasslands. So somewhere you will get to see the Mixed forest, here many species of Owl, Hornbill, Barbet, bee-eater, Roller are seen in the forest and often the Leopard is sitting on the wall.

Jhilmil Jheel Conservation Reserve Haridwar

Jhilmil Jheel Conservation Reserve Haridwar Jungle Safari has its own pleasure, It is called the buffer zone of Rajaji National Park, it comes under the Haridwar Forest Division. Whenever tourists go to Jhilmil Safari, they are given a drive of about 35 km here, there is a mix forest and river Ganges. There are large Patera grasslands on the banks of which are often seen Swamp Deer, Spotted Deer, Sambhar and Wild Boar. Jhilmil lake is also quite famous for Leopard and Elephant. The area of Jhilmil is considered to be very ideal for birds. Here, along with migratory birds, resident birds are also seen in large numbers. Mohand Safari Zone/Chillawali Range

We also know the Chillawali Range by the name Mohand, Mohand Safari Zone at National Highway 72A is in the middle of Delhi to Dehradun Highway. The rocky plain of the Himalayas is visible, as well as the hills of the Shivalik range of foothills of the Himalayas are also seen here, along with the tiger, you can also see the leopard. The forest of Mohand is considered the best for the leopard. There is a safari of about 35 km including the big roads, here along with deer, sambar, wild boar, nilgai, elephant, leopard and tiger are also seen, Mohand Gate itself is known as Jungle Safari Dehradun. Enjoy the jeep safari at Mohand Gate. The forest of Mohand has supernatural beauty in itself, here you will get to see big water hole in which animals and birds often drink water, big banyan trees keep your mind. Gohri Range is Buffer Zone of Rajaji National Park where you can enjoy jungle safari throughout the year, here you can see leopard, tiger, elephant, deer, sambar, nilgai, wild boar and birds like kingfisher, barbet hornbill, eagle, Gohri range is open for jungle safari throughout the year.About 36 kilometers of jungle safari is conducted in Gohri buffer zone. Vindhyavasini temple area comes under Gohri buffer zone where you enjoy spirituality along with forest. Vindhyavasini Mata temple is very famous temple where tourists from far and wide Come to take blessings of Mata as well as this area is full of water this river named 'B' river flows where you cross the river many times by jeep.
